Christ tells Peter in Luke 22:32 “I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. ….strengthen your brothers.”
(4) … specifically singles out Peter by saying, ” you are Peter, & upon this rock I will build my church.” Peter uses this authority in NT
St. Peter makes his 1st recorded dogmatic decision in the Acts 15:19, ‘It is my judgment, therefore…” His judgment settled the matter.
(2) his successors as having the same authority Christ gave Peter. We can show Peter had primacy over the other Apostles in many places.
